Even though I had read SO MANY good things about this, when it came to me, I was still very surprised when I opened the package and found a TINY little speaker!! I immediately thought.... I wonder how this can be as loud as what the reviewers have said it was!!
I charged the device for a few minutes through my ASUS Transformer and switched it on.. pairing was a breeze. I then played "rockstar" by Nickelback. I WAS BLOWN AWAY!!! Dont let the size of the device fool you, it packs qute a punch. the sound is clear and the device offers surprising amounts of bass for the size.
Summary of my 3 days with the Monster Clarity HD:
- paired with my samsung galaxy s2, asus transformer, blackberry curve, toshiba r700 laptop
- easy to pair
- great sound quality and volume levels
- more than decent amount of bass
- charging time is about 3 hours, plyback time of around 5 hours
- very very light and portable. the neoprene case it comes with does a decent job of protecting the device from scratches while carrying in a backpack.
in all - i am very happy with this device, use it daily to stream music from my phone or my computer. i would recommnd this device over the jawbone jambox.
the speaker is small and can fit in a pocket which is good with a nice weight and doesn't look cheap with it crome top.
setting it up on the hardtop in the kitchen WOW the sound fly's it so loud and the bass that come from a small package. monster call it the clarity hd and they can
because at full volume there no distortion in the sound and bass and on reviews of the jambox and sound matters they do distort. i can hear sound from the speaker that i dont normally hear. overall for £80 it a buy i have a x-mini speaker for outdoor use i thought that was good but i can tale u the monster is on a hole new level.
The speaker offers very good sound for its size, is compact enough to take with you on business travel (which I do a lot) and makes a great speaker phone for use away from base.
Great product. Would recommend.
I'm very satisfied from this product and I recommend it.
It came pre-charged and despite the fact that I was pairing it with an Android phone (HTC Desire HD) and the instructions assume you have a blackberry I managed to pair it in under a minute and had the music pumping out.
Just to be clear, this is not going to give you the same sort of sound performance as high end speaker systems so if that's what your after then this isn't for you however for the size I was amazed at how good it is and the volume it punches out. I tested it in the kitchen on full volume and my wife couldn't here the telly in the living room. Interestingly I expected the sound quality to be better at low volume and deteriorate as you turned it up but actually it seems best about mid-way and above.
I tested it through both bluetooth and the 3.5mm jack connection and couldn't really determine much difference and if using bluetooth you can use the forward andf advance controls on the speaker to move the tracks along.
It took me a few goes with the phone to get the right sound for the speakers as the native output from the HTC is a little flat, so I was using the PowerAmp app and eventually found a great equaliser setting to get the best out of it (if this is like your setup I found a slight tweek to the 'Disco' setting worked well.
I aslo found the sound changed a little depending on what surface you put it on, our wooden table seemed to produce slightly shriller mid tones compared to the concrete worktop for example.
I have struggled a little with the handfree calls feature, it seems very quiet but to be fair I've not really played with it a lot.
Overall it's perfect for what I need and if you want a great sounding, portable, wirefree speaker system then I would highly recommend it.

Great price, great sound but not enough bass for all-round sound quality. Lots of mids and tops and it's loud!Published 8 months ago by Alex Howie

Surprisingly good mids & highs, don't expect it to shake the room though. Build quality could be an issue, at higher volumes slight buzz from structure can be heard.Published on 5 May 2013 by Rory Doyle
It works well and the volume goes nice and loud. The quality is ok, I mean as good as you can get from something this small.Published on 1 April 2013 by Maverick Titswagon
