Format: Audio CD
I was first introduced to Amebix in the late 80's, one of a number of Crass clone bands Amebix always stood out from the crowd. Heavy Chugging guitar riffs with growling, almost Lemmy like vocals and thundering drums / bass.
This album has stood the test of time (although the guitar breaks do have a bit to be desired) and is a slap in the face to all these nu-metal wannabes, a must for any self respecting metal head, crusty, or professional longing for the "rush" that music once gave.
No Gods No Masters indeed

I bought this on vinyl in the ' 80s & loved it as soon as I placed it on the turntable. Since then Ive got my hands on their other offerings but for me, this will always be my favourite. As already stated the base is deep & tends to take the lead & the lyrics are heavy & at times doom laden but the whole album carries well into this era & you can see why their posters, badges & stickers say "No Gods No Masters"

Lots of heavy guitars, grunging bass and pounding drums all go into making this an early classic with a deliberate lofi approach that creates a haunting soundscape. Evil riffs and awesome lyrics. Yaaarrgh!
