Giving you the tools you need to manage your money now and in the future.“Arriving at university at the age of 18, I was handed my first credit card by my bank. This was the beginning of more than two decades worth of addiction to debt and having to teach myself how to escape its clutches.”In this ‘how-to-guide’, gifted mathematician, accountant and personal finance expert Lynn Beattie reveals the struggles she has faced with money and how she overcame them to transform her life. Offering fresh insight on the truth about the emotional nature of our relationship with cash, Lynn talks about budgeting and saving on household bills, food, family time, as well as the more socially taboo subjects of debt repayment and making money. Each chapter is packed full of personal real-life experience, guidance, and tools to transform your life, from your every-day money management through to helping with longer term financial freedom. Bursting with passion to enable everybody to have the freedom that financial understanding brings, The Money Guide toTransform your Life gives you the means by which you can successfully manage your money now and in the future. From the heart and from real, gritty experience, this book is crammed with actionable tips to help turn your financial life around - highly recommended!" How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings, help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

Have you tried to get ahead in the money game just to give up a couple of months later exhausted and disheartened? If the answer is ‘yes’, you must read this book. Through a combination of a brutally honest personal story and earthy personal finance tips, it can really help you transform your relationship with money; and your life. I liked the measured approach and the balance the author observes between making money and saving money.

This is a really useful book for anyone who wants to get their financial health into shape and start making better decisions. However I have absolutely no idea why she has included a chapter on her personal eating regime - I want to learn about financial planning and budgeting, not get recommendations on intermittent fasting and colonic irrigations! Including advice like this when you’re not a trained professional is dangerous, and people may find it triggering to read about weight and diets when they’ve bought a book about money. I suggest you skip that chapter and focus on the rest of the book, which is generally very useful.
The publisher could do with proofing it a bit closer too - I spotted quite a few grammatical errors and typos!
