I struggled a bit with this one, although I really enjoyed Good Wood, so I am at a loss as to WHY. Its written the same way, from each of their POV, in the first person, but each chapter is headed as such, so unless you stop in the middle of a chapter, its all good. The plot moves along, the hand that Fate deals comes early, and Joe unravels at a rapid rate after that.
Its written well, I love how you can't tell that its two authors writing these books, you really can't.
I think I just found it all too much. Too much for Joe, for Molly and for everyone else. Too much WHAT, exactly, I'm not sure, but that is the underlaying feeling I got when I eventually finished it, and I very nearly didn't finish it!
They don't get their HEA, quite more of a "we'll be happy for now" sort of ending, so there is another book to come. Whether I'll read it, I don't know.

I gave this book 5 stars.
This is Molly and Joe's story continuing from the first book Good Wood. I would say that you should read book one because it is the beginning of this couples story. BUT I read it as a stand alone. I am sure that I would have connected a lot more with them if I had read the first one.
None the less I really enjoyed reading this book. Molly has everything she wants she and Joe are happy. They have their problems and they are sharing their lives together. But they have obstacles to over come. Feels like things are where they want them to be, but they can't enjoy it .. They don't have a lot of time to spend together and the time they do have they seem to argue all the time. Joe is happy and he has everything that he has always wanted. But they have a lot still to overcome as a couple. Are they strong enough to do it?
Follow this continuing story of Molly and Joe and see if they can get past all that is being laid in front of them. Time will tell what fate has in store for these two. I loved this book and will def be picking up book one to see what went on with them in the beginning of their relationship. <3
Is there really such a thing as HEA? In this second book in the Carved Hearts series you find yourself asking that questions. Molly and Joe continue to try and leave their past behind but the past is not that easy to let go. You will laugh and cry right alone with them as they face unexpected trials and blessings. This is another part of their story that will grip you and hold you until the end!
Molly has concerns about how her relationship with Joe is progressing. She has demons from her past that leaves her with feeling of insecurity and poor self-worth. Even though Molly is a successful business woman and entrepreneur she does not see the Molly others do. It is difficult for her to understand how Joe in all his gorgeous male self could want her forever, especially since his first love was the perfect beauty. Then the unexpected happens, she is pregnant! How will Joe deal with another chance at being a parent and partner? Then to top everything they are dealing with, he tells her they will get married, like she is a burden for him to assume! That really caused Molly’s demons from her ex-husband to resurface.
Joe’s whole world revolves around Molly. He realizes that she is his true love and that what he had felt before was the idea of being in love with someone, not really being in love. The past continues to haunt him with flair ups especially when they find out that Molly is expecting! Can he be the man she needs him to be? Will she be able to see how he feels about her? Or will he drive her away with his need to be with her all the time and in overprotective mode? How can he show her how he feels about her and the new life they have created together?
When Joe and Molly finally face the concerns they are both feeling things start to change. Even with things looking up, both of them feel an overwhelming sense of foreboding. Can Joe protect his family? Will they find their HEA? Or will the past repeat its self?

Would I recommend this book: Yes. Read this amazing story of the journey two damaged souls take to find each other. It is a journey of love, laughter and yes living!
Would I recommend this author: Yes. I am fascinated with this remarkable series! I could not put either book down until they were finished and now find myself waiting for the conclusion in Heartwood, book 3.

If you love Good Wood you're going to fall in love all over again with Molly wood. This is a light emotional read. You have a mix of about everything you would want, a touch of mystery / suspense, emotional pull and some pretty hot encounters. The story flows so well that you just can't put the book down.
Molly and Joe have and amazing pull with each other and their love is strong. They have their trouble just like real couples do. In this read you get little more of a look in to the make-up of the two of them. What makes them tick, what has molded them to become who they are. You see more of their fears and joys in life. Let's just admit we all just love there batter between them and everyone they interact with. I fell in love with Molly's feisty, sarcastic attitude from the very beginning. Joe wanting to hold things together and hide from everyone makes you want to take all his pain away. Let’s not let the fool us Joe gives as good as he gets and just has a very interesting appeal about him.
I am totally blown away how this series gets more amazingly hot with each new part. This is one series that has become a keeper from the very start. I want to cry every time when I turn that last page, it’s one of the stories that you wish you never had to put down. Very well written and the flow is so smooth you feel like you’re living the story instead of reading one!
I was very excited that L.G. Pace III and Michelle Pace were going to give us more of Molly and Joe’s story. I was interested to see how they would carry on after the traumatic event in Great Wood. In Great Wood, their obstacle was their pasts. I feel like in Mollywood, it was their love for the other. The fears of what that love would bring to them. The fear of lose, the fear of losing one’s self as well as their past still hovering over them.
Mollywood to be was about growth. We watch their love grow for the other but also personal growth. I love that this series is centered around food and restaurants since that is my background as well. I love that they are billionaires. They are down home normal folk. They are funny, hard working people who have what they do because they worked hard for it. The authors still gave us the great supporting cast. Molly’s brothers were still there and I love them. I am praying for a spin off! (hint hint authors)
I think this was a great sequel and I will be tuning for more of Molly and Joe even though I am scared you will ruin their happiness!!!

Joe was seriously different in this book I'm still trying to digest it all, and I'm not sure if I liked the differentness in Joe. I mean yeah his intentions were good but he wasn't like the Joe we got to know and love from book one, "Joe glanced at my abdomen with obvious amusement and the smallest hint of pride. When he spoke, there was laughter in his voice. "What sounds good?" There were some times when old Joe came out and I loved him, "let's go back home, I have something I want to show you." She blushed at my double entendre and hurried out the door with me." As the book progresses we see both changes in Molly and Joe some good and some bad but there was always that flirting going on which I loved, "did you see the shower in the master bath? All those shower heads?" Her voice had a husky undertone, and I didn't need her to explain what she was thinking." The other thing that didn't change about these two is the way they're always caring for each other Joe sometimes more than Molly, "yes I did. And when you're healed I'll be more than happy to show you exactly how dangerous it is to bait a hungry bear. But until then..." His tone let me know without question that I was cut off." I enjoyed this book and I can't wait to see Joe and Molly in their third and final book.
