Having been studying for 3/4 months, this book has cleared up many vague explanations from its competitors. From the most basic explanation of functional grammar to culturally relevant phrases and terminology - this will be the book that takes you from uncertainty to confidence.

This guide is what it claims to be a practical assistance to the learning of italian grammar. Its ideal for the adult student attending an evening class where one is unable to have a one-to-one relationship with the teacher. Most evening classes focus for obvious reasons on providing the student with an ability to speak as quickly as possible, however, in the process they tend to skip over grammar rules With this book you are able to complement the course by reading up on specific points. The book is excellent to assist in this regard as its well laid out and the information is clear and precise with practical examples of the grammar rules explained. The information is comprehensive so the book is applicable for beginners to advanced speakers and is certainly a must for serious learners of italian.

This really is the sort of book that anyone studying Italian needs. The explanations set a high standard of clarity and the workbook gives valuable exercises to check your understanding of the text book.As a supplement to my night schools it took me ( without undue pressure ) through GCSE and as I go further the 2 books offer user - friendly points of reference. Ideal for learning the more formal written Italian as well as everyday uses. Thank goodness this book was around when I needed it!

This is a very comprehensive grammar book for Italian. Not a course in itself, but the book you will need at sometime as a supplimentary support book for your Italian Course. Try a verb dictionary as well. The Espresso Course books (123) go well with these.
