On first reading I found some of the info a little dated, for instance the section on rod length / stroke ratio. I would advise people to read the latest from David Vizard on this subject who actually backs up the data with dyno test results and a proper explanation of what's actually going on here.
Overall though the book is well written and does have a lot of useful information in it. A worthwhile addition to anyone's garage library.
