5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent book, fun projects, colorful photos, easy instructions. Awesome value - packed with goodness! 12 Nov. 2013

Just received my Kindle download this morning - I pre-ordered this and had forgotten so it was a happy e-surprise for me! I've been a follower of Jenny and Aaron's blog, Everyday is a Holiday, for about a year so when I heard they had a book in the works, I was super excited. I love their dreamy, vintage-y style and yummy pastel palette. I also love their sweet personalities so I was happy to see them shining thru in the book as well.

When I ordered the book, I was just hoping for some visual candy and would have been happy with some close ups of Jenny and Aaron's art. What I received in the book was so much more. I was pleasantly surprised when I realized there were easy to understand step-by-step instructions (along with amazing photos) for adorable projects. I was learning new techniques in the first project! I especially appreciate the detailed supply lists for each project as well as a resource list at the end.

I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone who appreciates Jenny and Aaron's artistic style - no matter your level of experience in creating mixed media art. Thanks to their guidance, all the projects seem very doable.

5.0 out of 5 stars Vintage Love 13 Nov. 2013
By Alabama Princess - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
This book takes me back to days of paint, paintbrushes, glue, glitter, cutting out pretty pictures, writing stories, using my imagination, all the fun things in life we should never lose. I cannot wait to go from page 11 to page 163 and make every beautiful thing in here! I was honored to win a copy of the book after I had pre-ordered it months ago; now I am waiting for my second one to come in the mail and it will go to someone very special that will be just as happy and excited as I am to create!

Thank you Jenny and Aaron for sharing your beauty with all of us!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Book Review 25 Dec. 2013
By Marion - Published on Amazon.com

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Jenny & Aaron created an amazing art book which happens to be my favorite Christmas present! I could literally sit and look at the pages over and over again. There are colorful photos on every page with extremely clear directions on how to achieve these projects on your own. I was close to giving up on mixed media art until I discovered their blog, "Everyday is a Holiday." This is what I had been looking for for so long but could never find it in other books. Mixed Media Masterpieces is so attractive to look at that it just might end up being a coffee table book at home. The colors just make me happy, the style is achievable for anyone to do at home. This is a book that you should definitely add to your collection!!!
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Mixed Media Book!!! 13 Jan. 2016

What an excellent book. The projects are unique and not like you would find anywhere else. The pictures are great and done very well. I just love looking at the pictures. It is mixed media eye candy! The directions are well done and given step but step. Each project has a supply list and in the back of the book where to get the supplies. Well done book and I hope they write another one.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sweet Eye Candy 30 July 2014
By L. Mallette - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
If you love aqua and pink and soft, feminine projects with a vintage flair, this book is a good choice. Much here to delight the eye, even if you never make a single one of the projects. (Honestly, I don't think I'll ever have a use for a fake cake or faux donuts, especially given the excessive amount of time/work that goes into making them.)

About half the projects in this book are journal/scrapbook pages. They are quite lovely and well done, but if you're not into art journaling or scrapbooking, this could be a down side.

All in all, a very sweet book that I'll likely read again for inspiration, as the projects are high quality and very artistic and I happen to love the color scheme. I don't normally prefer "step-by-step-how-to-make-this-one-specific-thing" books in general, but there are a lot of good ideas here for inspiring your own take on the projects.
