While there isn't anything blatantly objectionable about the book, it's very fluffy - even when judged by romance standards. True love conquers all without much of an effort (and the plot pretzels around inheritance and mistaken identity in the last story were especially grating) or without much character development. Rakes suddenly fall in love and decide to settle down, women who never want to get married suddenly want nothing but marriage. In a longer book, Michaels may have been able to make it more believable. Given the paucity of character development, I found myself unable to enter the fantasy.
