5.0 out of 5 stars Great Story that Left Me Wanting More 26 Sept. 2016

While Sara Grenard’s team is finalizing preparations for their three-year journey to Serenity, someone attempts to sabotage their mission. The tension is high as launch day nears, and this additional threat ramps it up. Earth is on the verge of destruction, and Serenity is one of three planets that is the last hope for humanity. Sara’s six-person team is charged with establishing a colony there, preparing for the influx of people who will join them in the future, and beginning families of their own. The three couples are more than ready to fulfill the last goal of the mission, especially Sara and her lover and second-in-command, Marsh. Their relationship is passionate, playful and committed—to each other and the mission. This tightly written sci-fi kept me on the edge of my seat. Ms. Burton’s ability to weave tension, passion and a futuristic world creates a book that is hard to put down. Mission to New Earth is the kind of book that has a very satisfying ending, but you know you'll miss the characters and their story.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Combination of Sci-Fi and Romance 12 Sept. 2016

I'm a fan of sci-fi and a sucker for a good old fashioned love story. The author combines both genres wonderfully in "Mission to New Earth." I loved following along with the main character, Sara Grenard, as she tells us about her team's preparations to seek out a new home for humanity and the challenges they face, as well as getting insight into her relationship with her deliciously handsome partner. A wonderful read which makes me want to check out more of the author's work.

5.0 out of 5 stars A thought-provoking, entertaining read 2 Sept. 2016
By Alicia Dean - Published on Amazon.com
A compelling, fascinating story about a group of brave people who risk everything to help humankind. It's interesting to see the different effects the mission has on the various members, and all they face to prepare for the journey. With adventure and romance, this novella packs a lot of entertainment into a short package.
4.0 out of 5 stars Fun Futuristic Sci-fi Romance 24 Oct. 2016
By Amazon Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Mission to New Earth is a fun futuristic sci-fi romance that deals with groups of astronauts leaving Earth to find a new place for us to live. Earth is doomed. There is little time left for those who still live there. The missions to find a new planet to live on has been moved up in urgency. And Sara's team is one of three trained to travel to a new planet to start a colony. Each team has three couples who will not only have to set up the colony, but also to help populate the planet while they wait a few years for other Earth survivors to arrive. But, that's if they arrive without any problems and find the planet habitable.

While this book has less sexual tension than I'm used to, there is plenty of tension in getting the teams ready for launch, and trying to catch the person they believe is trying to sabotage their teams. It is a fun read with plenty of pop culture references, and I would love to read more about the team featured in this book, or even one of the other two teams.

5.0 out of 5 stars Survival in the next century 11 Sept. 2016
By Patricia Gordon - Published on Amazon.com
I've long been a fan of Diane Burton's outer space fantasies, and this new story doesn't disappoint. The premise is fascinating, though chilling: since earth's resources are being wiped out through natural and human disasters, three teams of pioneers are dispatched to find new planets suitable for earth's inhabitants to live. Sara leads her team of six in preparing for the three year trip. Are they ready? Will the infamous Weasel prevent one of them from going? This is a quick read, and well worth the time.

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
