This book is a small, wonderful piece of Britain. It is a perfect gift book for all of my American tea-loving girlfriends. The recipes are easy to follow and beautifully illustrated. The secret to creating a dainty tea feast of your very own!!

Miss Hope's range of recipe books are always an utter joy - cheeky and cheerful, jam-packed with imaginative takes on traditional treats. This is no exception: gorgeous, unusual sandwiches (golden salmon & mint jelly) nestle alongside jaffa madeleines and lavender petticoat tails, all washed down with a Darjeeling gin fizz. And as if instructions for sumptuous feasts weren't enough, you also get to brush up on your Geordie - and if you're Colin Firth, you may also get to brush up on a Geordie.

This recipe book is a real gem - brim full of great ideas for a tea-party, birthday party, or any time! Including some really delicious twists on traditional treats (like cucumber sandwiches with strawberries and mint, or passion fruit fairy cakes) there is a huge range to choose from here, for sweets and savouries. I will be dipping in to this regularly for a long time to come, and the hilarious Miss hope makes me chortle each time I do.
