Top customer reviews
I decided to go for this model for two reasons:
- A friend recommended it and she uses hers for a while not
- It was cheap and cheerful
- It includes European maps
Looking for a device that was cheap more than anything I decided to give it a go. So far I am not disappointed.
The setup is easy. The step by step instructions guide you right through it (I recommend charging the Mio first. I didn't and had to start over when the battery went flat. Rookie error I guess).
The start screen is very intuitive and only has a few symbols to start with. You can look for your destination in various ways (postcode, address etc.) which I think is pretty standard.
There is little to no glare from the screen (so it doesn't have the high gloss of a smart phone... more the type of screen you would have on a laptop), the instructions when driving are clear and easy to follow. So far this week it took me safely to work (OK... I know the directions to work but I wanted to try it) without any problems.
In the box it had the car charger, the windscreen attachment, a printed manual and a DVD (which I haven't used so far. It is not needed for the setup but there is no cable to connect it to a computer in the box in case you are wondering) and the Sat Nav.
As I said I only bought this Mio recently and don't know anything about longer term use... but will update if I make any negative experiences.
