A spoof handbook for ministers and the ministered to - Christians who are happy to laugh at themselves and at the ever-so-slightly bizarre things we, and our spiritual overseers and gurus, have been known to do in the name and for the sake of God. The satire targets the excesses of each branch of the church from evangelical fundamentalism to high-church ritual.

It isn't just OK for the church to laugh at itself; it's totally necessary. There is something healing about knowing that you're not the only one who has looked around during a sermon and thought 'Really? The pastor just really SAID that? Does nobody else think that's crazy?'. Ambulance's overblown exploits will resonate with anyone who has ever felt that way. And even if they don't, they'll certainly make you laugh!
Can't recommend it enough. In fact, I know TWO people who are getting this book for Christmas this year!
