It's leaflet does state that it's a small kit, and you are advised to ensure if you do go out camping or walking to make sure you have sufficient first aid supplies and equipment for your plans
There are more expensive and better equipped kits out there however this is great for.a beginner to edc (everyday carry)
I don't think the inclusion of a condom as a water carrier is necessary. However it did amuse me. The light stick is tiny and the alcohol wipe unnecessary.
A good fun and most importantly small kit for a day sack or to keep in the car.
Unlike some kits the purchaser is able to repack this as it was purchased. So no requirement for jigsaw skills to wedge it all back in.
Chuck away the condom and the wipe they are a gimmicky addition to pad out the contents
I haven't been out in the field with it yet (and no, I don't mean the one where the kids play footie....) but I feel more confident that I shall have it on me in case of running into difficulties.
It's a small tin (around the same size as a pack of Lidl's O's mints, just slightly deeper) but it packs a punch.
I'll be picking up a couple more at some stage for separate bug out bags.
Of course you will need a decent knife to go alongside the kit, but you know that already, right?
A separate high quality compass would be a good idea too - the one supplied is "okay", but I wouldn't want to rely on it in a life and death situation - it's more of a "if that's all you got - make do, just don't expect it to be so accurate that you can guarantee you'll get to exactly where you want to be going".
While the item is very small and things are packed pretty tight, I was impressed with how easy it was to take things out, and get them back in. Half the time you get these things out, and realise there's absolutely no way to get them back in the way they came. That's not the case with this little tin. I've been able to easily dismantle and put back together on the go as/when needed.
The weakest point to the kit is the ranger band. The ridge on the tin will eventually cause the band to split. By eventually, I'm not talking very long, a couple months of regular carry. Fortunately, it looks to just be made of bicycle inner tube. I'm sure I can find a spare inner tube around the house somewhere to replace it periodically.
