The first thing I had to do was change the setting to English UK. You do need to download Flash Player and BBC Media Player from the Google Play Store which involves setting up a google account. Once BBC Media Player is installed BBC IPlayer work OK.
My wifi router is downstairs. The Android mini computer is plugged into a TV upstairs. The wifi signal travels about 10 feet through a floor without any problems.
This thing, fast enough for me, browse the net, plays games, Angry Birds, Fruit Ninja all run fine at full speed no issues. Android market place is there will all your apps. No bluetooth if anyone is interested, but at the price of it you wouldnt expect it.
Get yourself a wireless keyboard and mouse set and plug the receiver into the unit and you're away. Make sure your mouse and keyboard is wireless 2.4 Ghz, I had an old Logitech set that were described as cordless rather then wireless (turned out they were not of 2.4 Ghz standard) and they didnt work, bought a new set and hey ho presto, we're away.
The other thing I worried about was Wireless signal. Was it going to be worth a damn. It's fine. My router is on the ground floor and the device is upstairs, behind a 50" tv and it gets 'fair' wifi reception. That'll do me, the same as my Galaxy S3 gets in the same location.
All in all, if you are thinking about getting a tablet, as I was, to browse the net and mess around at home, and you have access to a large HDMI tv, this may be a better (and a helluva lot cheaper) option.

Like many android devices on the market primarily imported from from China, it arrived in a box at least 10 times bigger than the device inside.
The quality of the plastic containing the circuit board is acceptable if a little flimsy but of course the device is tiny considering it is a full blown android computer running a customised version of 4.1 Jellybean and it really is very compact.
I note there are some reviews that state the device either never worked or stopped working suddenly and I believe the reasons for this may possibly be lack of care in reading the instructions which are in very tiny print on a pamphlet.
Importantly, you need be aware that the power supply (mine came with a 13 amp/USB 1.0 amp power source and a micro/USB lead) can physically be plugged in either of the two micro USB sockets - but of course it is essential that you make sure you plug it in the correct socket which is marked, albeit not very clearly as DC-in, the other micro USB socket is the OTG (On The Go) socket with which you can connect the device to a PC to browse and share files.Read more ›
Having read previous reviews I was anticipating spending a few hours setting up the connection and I wasn't wrong. The instructions are vague but I slowing ticked a few boxes and then was receiving iPlayer, Netfix, You Tube etc. I would highly recommend ordering a mini keyboard with air mouse to make life a lot easier. 2.4GHz Fly Air mouse Cordless wireless fly air keyboard remote control
WiFi range is limited. My hub is on a lower floor and although I was receiving a signal, programs were often interrupted by buffering. A WiFi repeater solved the problem and brought the signal up to 100%.
I am delighted with the set up and it adds a fantastic choice of viewing from my bedroom TV. My son visited last week and was very impressed so I ordered him one too.
