I purchased this book as required reading for a Mindfulness course, so will rate the book as a textbook. It's clearly written, and does what it sets out to do, walks the reader through the course. The style is easily readable, understood, and applicable. We read a chapter each week in advance of that teaching/practice session. The meditations are well described.

The book comes with a free CD which guides the reader through the meditations. I found that this CD didn't play on all the players in our house (we have 3 and it didn't like the one which comes with the digital radio): but you can solve this one with using your computer and iTunes.

I would rate this book highly for anyone who wants to learn about Mindfulness and what it is, how it can help us order our lives and become more relaxed and effective human beings, and I would say that it might well be possible with self-discipline and application to use it without a course. Although working together in a group is what most people would gain from.

Loved it. Very good book, Easy to read and comprehend infos in it. Nice and easy way of putting Mindfulness for people to understand and start practising. It helped me a lot with going deeper in this subject.
