This book offers no insight into mindfullness at all, there isn't a contents page or any structure just random situations where the advice is almost entirely the same, take a breath and become aware of your surroundings. That's it, its utterly empty of any other content. What an absolute con.

I would say that this is the best book to give a friend for a present, it is far more enjoyable than a box of chocs that would make them feel guilty or a bottle of something that will give them a hang over. It's lovely, I feel calm every time I look at it.

Was expecting something better. I'm definitely new to all this "mindfulness thing", but even then I just could not wait to finish this book. Not because I was eager to read something new and exciting, but just to get over it. It's very repetitive - basicaly every new page gives you new situation (train, bus, traffick, lunch, snack, etc.) and tells you to do more or less the same thing - breathe, watch your emotions, where you feel tight, relax, let the moment pass, enjoy it, etc. Could have been written on 10 pages instead of repeating the same thing for over 200 pages. It did not encourage me to journal anything, so would not call it a journal. Major bad thing about it - it gives you bunch of situations you could end up wanting to use given technique, BUT there is no list of contents, so lets say you've gotten some bad news and want to do whatever it says to do when you get bad news, how do you find the exact page (given the fact there are no page numbers either, you cannot even make your own list of contents unless you number the pages)??? Defies the purpose of listing all thise situations if you cannot even find the one you are looking for when in need. Too bad I was expecting something more and started marking it with marker as I usually do with self-help books, otherwise would sell it on. Not worth my money or time. :(
