The book is an interesting and ambitious attempt to catalogue the various types of prints and posters that people collect. Clearly in such a subject only a cursory treatment can be given for each aspect, but the writer does a pretty good job. I am currently writing a series of definitive railway poster books (seven in number) and each one will be 250+ pages; and this is just railways. Film, Classical (Cheret or Mucha), war, shipping, aviation and propanganda posters are equally collectible and I could image large tomes being written on posters and prints for each subject. However the Miller guide is a good introduction to the subject, ideal for the novice or those thinking of entering the market, and well worth having in a library. It comes well recommended.
