Some will argue stateside that Robbie Williams "Millennium" didn't hold up as well on the radio as it did on television (via MTV or VH1). I disagree, even though I can't help but visualize him handing the wheel of that powerboat to the sexy blonde prop. Although Williams' impersonation of 007 was a memorable music video, you can't help but think just where in the hell did this guy come from? And just why was he never summoned to play the role of James Bond before, or better yet...in future spy-fi films? I was quite shocked to learn that some guy with the same charm and charisma of say...the late, great Falco (who was a camera ready "Bond" candidate in his own right) would come from some assembly line pretty boy band called "Take That" (England's version of N Sync). Oh well...I guess they all have to start somewhere. If you can find the Capital Records VHS promo of Millennium, I'm positively certain it would be a steal at any price. I've yet to see this gem in DVD format, although I believe it's still downloadable on the internet somewhere. Seriously, Roger Moore doesn't have anything on Robbie...he really is Bond...James Bond.

5.0 out of 5 stars Truely great! 22 Feb. 2002
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com

Millennium, released in 1999, closed the decade out with a bang. Along with Madonna's "Beautiful Stranger," it made that year's pop music pure joy. Robbie, who sadly doesn't share the level of popularity as he does everywhere else in the world, is a great vocal performer. He isn't the greatest singer, but he is certaintly fun to listen to.
Though it was completely looked over at the Grammys, Millennium is a well-produced record, and a must-listen!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent choice of catchy pop-culture music. 1 Aug. 1999
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
Robbie Williams hits the tops with his catchy Millennium song. Based on a Bond theme, Robbie takes the difient style of a embarking James. It's diffentely has something 'pazzaz' about it... a grooved mix of today's based Pop. Recommended for those who want a little more in there music.
