5.0 out of 5 stars What an uplifting and delightful journey. 23 May 2014
By Lori - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
I thoroughly enjoyed the ride. Yes, I have had doggie Friends who ruled my life, and they were able to communicate happiness as Harley did. They also were very adept at showing their displeasure.
I was also fortunate to adopt a one-year old female peach-faced lovebirds. Now that was a totally different experience! I was reading and "learning" about parakeets, a totally different species. I was approached unexpectedly by one of the vet techs where I took my last sweetheart Tatu, also adopted unexpectedly, am certain my Master "had a

p hand" in both instances. I, as well as my husband, become very attached to our furry and feathered friends. When the vet tech brought Pez over for our first meeting I was smitten. Of course I knew nothing about "handling" a bird, especially one who thought she was a macaw! Again, my Master stepped in and guided me, along with Pez's very explicit instructions and generalizations. It took meeting a while, but it's amazing what you can, if you'll only "listen". I must say that living with Pez was one of the most gratifying experiences for both my husband and me. It's truly amazing what is freely given by a beloved pet, and they know when they are loved unconditionally. The love they return is unequaled. Thank you so much for sharing. I enjoyed every mile with, except for you unfortunate experience.

5.0 out of 5 stars A truly inspirational story you will not want to stop reading!! 9 May 2014
By ReadingTeacher - Published on Amazon.com

This is a truly inspirational story that you will not want to stop reading. The love between a pet/family member and owner is evident and the lessons Harley taught through God shows His amazing grace and love along the journey he took with his family. Any animal lover and pet owner will absolutely appreciate the bond between Harley and the author. I could not stop reading and found it difficult to put down when I had to do so. This book definitely gets 5 stars and more from me!

5.0 out of 5 stars A touching and inspiring story of a basset hound's life journey 29 April 2014
By Gail Rogers - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
This is a wonderful tribute to a truly remarkable dog. An animal lover especially will appreciate the strong bond between the author and her "best friend" as they journey together across America. I laughed and cried throughout the book and found it both touching and inspiring.
5.0 out of 5 stars The ups and downs, smiles and tears, of having a special canine friend. 25 July 2014
By Leo B. - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
This is a great story of how an animal friend can be such an important part of one's life. It has a little bit about the trucking industry and their adventures but mostly it's a story of faith and friendship.
