About the Author
Anya Bast lives in the country with her Belgian husband, their tornado toddler of a daughter, and more cats, dogs, and rabbits than is sane. Ever since she was a little girl, Anya has told stories (much to her mother's dismay). She's happy to finally be making a career out of it. A native of one of the colder states, she loves to ice skate and watch hockey. She has fascination for crows, ravens and birds of prey. She enjoys the study of Eastern philosophy, Celtic myth, dreaming, and shamanism and occasionally incorporates what she learns into her paranormal stories. She works part time as a data base editor and French translator.

Meanwhile elsewhere in Pffierburg unknown and unseen, Gideon Amberdoyal has got inside the walls and gone to meet with a person who has been helping him all along.......several other Phaendir are also inside the city and have been for sometime. Their collective minds create a 'hive' which Gideon can tap into to use magic. His ultimate aim is to destroy all the Fae.
When you get to read this you maybe astonished as to who has been helping the odious Gideon, I was.
Meanwhile, Elizabeth is still reluctant to give up what she is hiding and to protect her Mother in case the walls of the city do come down, she has moved her to another location. As far as the story line goes Elizabeth is hiding the missing pieces needed for the walls to come down. She is determined to keep them to protect one she loves. Niall will stop at nothing to get them and hand them over to the shadow queen so the fae will finally be free.
What will happen when sparks fly between this unlikely pair? Will the fae go free or be forever trapped?
If you've kept up with any of Anya's books or series you will love this story. (I do however strongly recommend reading the first three first, I don't think these were meant to read as a stand alone) I would recommend these books to anyone who likes paranormal stories. There were twists and turns in this book that kept you reading. I was sitting on the edge of my seat the entire time waiting for what would happen next. If you've read this far, you will be extremely happy adding this book to your repertoire. If you haven't I strongly urge you to get this book and the others in this series, you won't be disappointed!
