From the Inside Flap

Eight years before Denny Colbert was born, his father was involved in a tragic accident that killed 22 children. Now Denny is 16, and all he wants is to be like other kids his age. But he isn't allowed to answer the telephone or have a driver's license, and his family is constantly moving from town to town--all because people can't forget what happened long ago.

When Denny defies his parents one afternoon and answers the telephone, he finds himself drawn into a plot for revenge which may prove deadly. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

Format: Paperback
I read in the middle of the night the other day and thoguth that it was definatley not his best work.
I dont think that this novel got inside your head enough, not pyschologically, and made you think and i also didn't like how he ended the book i like it when you have to think about what might happen like in after the first death and i am the cheese. He didnt do this with this one and i think he did this because he thought that young readers today would be too lazy.. or sumthin like that.
I definatley dont reccomend this for those who have been reading cormiers work for a long time i think it just doesnt cut it, but if you have never read anything by him then you might like it because you wont be used to his style.. I think that in the middle of the night cormier has tried something new and i dont think he's succeeded.. but i'll leave it up to you to decide..
