Perhaps Hot Hot Heat's most relaxed single to date still remains as catchy as its predecessors. Middle Of Nowhere strikes me as reminiscent of 'The Head on the Door' era Cure, with soft melodic keyboards and a mixture of electric and acoustic guitar. Even Josh Homme (who shouted at South By Southwest "F**k the Eighties!") has stated that Hot Hot Heat have "some cool tunes", and indeed whatever happens to music in the next few decades, Hot Hot Heat should stand out as one of the most excellent and classiest bands of the period.

HASH(0x8a8f8c9c) out of 5 stars Single, oh yeah remix! 8 Aug. 2006

Well "middle of nowhere" on its on is beautiful, sad but beautifully catchy, and sweet. And the remix, well the remix, of course one is going to love the original version better, the remix is awesome, it still makes you want to dance, like always, in a more tachno way, but you dance. Though there are more remixes ut ther in the world, this is one of them and its wondefully made along with "middle of nowhere" and the rest of their songs. :)
