Easy-to-use software makes replacing passwords with your fingerprint a breeze. The Registration Wizard helps you register fingerprints for each user. When you first visit a site that requires a password, just touch the Fingerprint Reader with your registered finger, enter your data, and then click OK. Took only 5 mins to set up. You need to register the fingerprints of your fingers (any one will do) and youre done!
It takes about a third of a second to recognise a fingerprint, and I've made all my family test it and it will only recognise mine so definitely secure. 100% success rate at registering my fingerprints so far, so this deserves a thumbs up from me.
It can log you onto windows, onto websites, MSN Messenger, Skype...anything!
In a word: FANTASTIC.
The must-buy for 2007
I'm very glad that I bought this.
Only really works for one user though I think, but I'm not sure, as there is only one user account on my computer, so it could do. I presume that it does when you have more than one user accounts.
Also, the Microsoft branded version of this fingerprint reader does NOT support Netscape or Firefox. Which is a pain considering FF is more secure than IE anyway. The reader works flawlessly with IE, mind. Note I said the 'Microsoft branded version'... thats because Digital Persona [who manufacture the reader] have made their OWN version of the reader compatible with the afore mentioned Netcape and Firefox browsers. Microsoft, in their infinite wisdom, decided to make their versions incompatible. Nice going guys...
As my colleague recommended me this superb product, I will also recommend this to anyone who's willing to invest a little cash in favour of more surfage time.
Anyway, I'm off to login into some more websites ;) Just don't forget that you're only a finger press away from entry. Bye.
