4.0 out of 5 stars Comprehensive fremework concept for designing runbooks 28 Oct. 2013
By Sir Wilfried - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
I read this book as an introduction to runbook design. I found it very helpfull both in getting an overview over runbook technology as well on specific design principles. It is very structured and easy to understand. I just missed some more guidance on managing and deployment of different versions of a runbook. This might be less of a problem if you have already some experience with the real product.
The outlined "framework" of modularized runbooks has the potential to help a lot of people to build up a reusable library of runbooks if supported by some additional design documentation (which you should always provide to your professional solutions).
The book goes not too deep into programming issues, but - in my opinion - shows in a glimpse that implementing real life runbooks is not about just clicking on some activities and draw some lines between them.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good introduction to Orchestrator 5 Feb. 2015
By Jonathan Allen - Published on Amazon.com

For the price ($0.00) this can't be beat. A very good overview of Orchestrator and showing what it's capable of. I am reading this while getting my first look at Orchestrator, so while it may not be as in depth as I could want later, this was a great read for getting me started.
