Michael Flatley returns with another dance spectacular, involving over one hundred performers and a brand new selection of sets, props and costumes. Performed live in Hyde Park on 25th July 1998, Michael's 'Feet of Flames' will take the viewer through the highs of passion and the lows of despair, as Mr Flatley's feet and legs play out the age-old conflict between good and evil.
An expanded and more polished version of Lord of the Dance, Feet of Flames was recorded at an outdoor performance in London's Hyde Park. While much of the material is familiar to Flatley fans, the production is superior in every way. It's better photographed and the editing is less frenetic. The individual segments are sharper, more self-assured, as is Flatley, who also produced and directed this version. (He also demonstrates his talents as a flutist--maybe he should call himself Lord of the Renaissance.) The outdoor setting also makes the show feel less like a Vegas act, though the proceedings have about as much relation to their Celtic folk roots as the Broadway musical Cats has to the TS Eliot children's poems on which it was based. --Richard Natale --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

The music, powerful yet intricate dancing and the wonderful characters, M.F. of course, lovely Bernadette Flynn, foxy Gillian Norris and the gorgeous Daire Nolan all breathe life into this production.
What is so special is a whole story is told through the medium of dance, which is absolutely captivating, and the musical interludes ~ the beautiful singer and those marvellous violinist ladies just add to the wonder of it all.
As the summer evening dusk gathers over Hyde Park you truly feel that you are there with them all and a part of this superb experience.
Flatley is an inspiration and such a wonderful ambassador - not only for dance but for Ireland as a whole. Having taken his shows around the world, it is refreshing to see that he has remained reasonably grounded in his approach to preforming.
