As a rule, whatever Michael Embacher becomes involved in has something to do with design. Born in 1963, he studied architecture in Vienna. While still in the midst of his studies, he realized that he preferred a "luxurious" method of learning, so in 1994 he founded his design office Embacher/Wien, which strives for high quality architecture that has an eye for fine detail. This nearly obsessive confrontation with design led him to discover his love of bicycles years ago. Embacher's inquisitive interest in creative, rare, off-beat, and even bravely failed models has led to the creation of an unusual bicycle collection, which to date has been seldom accessible for a larger audience. Nonetheless, even beyond the circle of connoisseurs, word has spread of these extraordinary gems. In February 2011 appears after the success of “Smart Move” (with 50 bicycles), the new book "Cyclepedia" with 100 bicycles from the collection Embacher.
