Product description

The Mi-Light E27 Bulb offers a variety of other options:

• Has a choice of over 1.6 million colours including warm white from just one bulb
• Can be remotely changed via a Mi-Light remote or iOS or Android phone via a free app (see below for details)
• Fits like a regular E27 Bulb
• LED bulbs are more energy efficient than a regular bulb. The Mi-Light E27 is A-rated energy efficiency with a 50,000 hour lifespan.
• Has a highly efficient light transmitting acrylic lens for a smoother and more even light distribution

Why Chose Mi-Light LED E27 over other light bulbs?

• LED bulbs are far superior to any other Standard E27 incandescent light bulb.
• LED bulbs offer a longer life span, lasting up to 50,000 hours compared to regular incandescent bulbs which only last up to 1,000 hours, which makes them cost effective.
• They consume 50 - 90% less energy than regular incandescent bulbs and a more even distribution of light.
• Mi-Light LED bulbs are also Eco friendly, as no mercury is used, which results in producing little to no heat and no UV light.

The Mi-Light E27 also offers over 1.6 million colours to choose from, from just one bulb, including warm white, allowing you to customise a room to your choice of colour.

A Mi-Light remote control can be used to control your Mi-Light E27 bulbs from anywhere in the home, to change colours and dim bulbs from 0%-100%.The Mi-Light remote control can also be easily set up to use 4 zones to control multiple bulbs from just one remote. Alternatively, you could use a Mi-Light Wi-Fi to control Mi-Light bulbs with your iOS or Android Smart Device, which requires an App to use .

I have been looking in to coloured lights for some time. I have looked at strips, and quite a while ago I found out about Philips Hue. They look really good, I really coveted them, but the price of them is utterly ludicrous. Then I found these Milight bulbs, which you might also see elsewhere as Easybulb or LimitlessLED - they are all the same. They are actually made by a company called Futlight. They are just brilliant. They feel really well made, and the amount of light they give off in white mode is very good, much better than an old 60w, and a nice warm colour. Be careful when buying, because they do a cool white version too.

Early LED strips and bulbs were just RGB (red/blue/green LEDs), and gave an approximation of white light when needed by just lighting all three colours. Newer strips, and these bulbs, are RGBW, meaning that there are separate white LEDs used when white light is required, so their white light is just as good as any normal LED bulb. But being able to switch to any colour you like can completely transform a room - and your mood.

The bulbs are no use on their own, you will need either a remote like this MiLight RGBW RGB+W 2,4GHz 4-Zone Remote Control Unit, and/or a wifi control box like this

Set up was fiddly - the Mi-Light app is pretty very compared to several 3rd parties. I pretty quickly have switched to using "RGBLEDControl" on the Android. Instructions, especially for unlinking lights, simply don't work and it took a good hour or more of fiddling to get two lights working together.

I will buy more, but it's a shame that Amazon don't stock the smaller screw style (E14), so have had to buy adapters. A product with great potential and much cheaper than competitors, but also requiring a great deal of development before realizing all the possibilities.

It was very easy to set up and it's not too bright for my table light at 6 watts. I am using it with the optional wifi remote which I got supplied with another one which I can't use at present. My mistake. The white light is very good compared to the one I have taken out. The colours are pleasant along with the dimmer function. It also has a dim white night light built in. Overall a decent light and nice to look at.
