Young Dutch producer Phynn, in real life known as Finne Jager, is no exception to that rule. Known as a man to watch since his fantastic debut release "Escape" and the follow up "Exotica" on the mighty In Trance We Trust imprint - both released in 2004 - the gifted and versatile musician announces the birth of his first solo album Metamorphosis. Phynn shows the evolution of his productions over the years during a twelve track epic journey on Metamorphosis. Featuring the uplifting euphoria of "Lucid", the electro influences on the opening track "Sunset City" and "C U Smile", the Balearic "Musa Bella", the addictive vocal trance of "Try Again" featuring vocalist Tiff Lacey, or the atmospheric down-tempo track "No More Mistakes", Metamorphosis is an album of outstanding quality and great diversity, sure to be hailed by global music lovers as essential.

About the album, not only does this album come through with quantity (28 songs averaging about 6-7 minutes for only 9 bucks!) but it comes through with quality as well. The beats are all rock solid and the melodies divine. A lot of music from the trance genre seems pretentious but this music is totally legitimate. The sound effects are great and the melodies differentiate from each other; but you can hear the same artist behind them. I workout at LA Fitness--though I can't really show for it--and this music is great work out music. It's great driving music. Heck, it's great everything music. Maybe not at olive garden, but you get my point.
All of the songs make you bob your head and pound your feet. And also, as a fan of Jazz and Progressive Rock, I like it when music is mixed up a little. And phynn does a fantastic job at this. Every now and then a song will slow down and you'll hear an acoustic guitar quietly strumming in the background. Or in the song Tempest, the entire percussive section breaks out for a one minute orchestral intro into the most epic and hardcore trance song you've ever heard.
As a young enterprising music producer and engineer, this album has had a very big influence on me. One should be able to hear it whenever my rookie album, Indus Chain, comes out on Amazon mp3 several months from now.
Great music, if you're into Trance you should certainly buy this album!!!
