Won't work on a modern PC

Was a huge fan of this back on the PS2 so couldn't wait to play it again on Desktop, maybe add some mods too to spice things up but unfortunately, it doesn't work on my system at all... I looked on some of the other reviews, and on some online forums and apparently this is a common problem with this game. Such a shame as i know from past experience that this is a great game when it's working!

I got this for PC as I never owned a PS2 to play this game really good game pretty good graphics for its age loads of content if you like metal gear and haven't played this one it's a must play. Only problem I had was it took me awhile to get this running on my PC I had to configure afew things to make it run hence why less stars

you'll need to do a bit of tweaking to get it working on windows7/8 but it's relatively simple, there are guides on what to do online. It's not the best port in the world but it's certainly playable and I would argue better than the ps2/xbox versions. I highly recommend using a controller with it (may need to use third-party program such as DS3 to get one to work) as it was intended to be played on a ps2 controller, make sure not too mess around with the graphics options if there are some display issues and you should be fine

Good game almost impossible to play it with a keyboard,tried it was so not easy or well ported,used a old PlayStation controller to get it to play well,with a good deal of side missions and such,but now starting to feel a bit dated.

I'm sure this would be a great game but it should be advertised that if you have any OS above XP you'll have a major nightmare trying to play it, made even harder if you have an Nvidea card. It should either be sold with a patch or a warning. I'm still trying to get the bloody thing to work now. Honestly if you have a modern PC just don't buy it, it's not worth the hassle.
