This White Mushroom Kit contains ready spawned compost, a sealed Casing Bag and full instructions. These kits are ideal for gifts, remove the lid to activate and begin to grow mushrooms which are very low in calories and full of nutrients, this variety is the most widely consumed mushroom in the world.
Growing Tips
The growing process will start when you remove the lid and activate them with the top soil. They will store chilled for several weeks before use. Just sprinkle the enclosed bag of compost onto your kit, re hydrate with water and put lid loosely back on at an angle. DO NOT RESEAL Check moistness each day and remove lid as soon as the white mycelium starts to show.

Amazing learning for kids and edible within 2 weeks

So I brought this as I have been dying to grow edible mushrooms for ages. Finally took the plunge and was absolutely amazed at the results from this tiny little kit. Literally 10 days after first water spray I've had great results. I've included pictures as they have grown. Granted I could have had open mushrooms but didn't want the bigger ones to overshadow the little ones so I ended up picking them. Used the mushrooms in a lasagne and they taste amazingly fresh. And all with next to no effort. I've put mine in my kitchen away from the window on the side in a corner that doesn't get direct sun, draught or extreme heat. I spray once before bed and once in the morning which is why I've put it in the kitchen as I spend most of my time there. Granted I've forgotten to spray a few times but that hasn't hindered the growth as you can see. My sister is amazed as she saw a little one on video chat on the Tuesday then saw it in person on the Saturday and couldn't believe how quick it had grown and then the following day I showed her again and it had grown again and she was like omg no way! My neice and nephew love seeing how they're doing and how they are growing also. Well worth it and it's only been a few weeks I've already had about 10 xl mushrooms about 12-15 medium and 30 small due to coming off with the bigger ones. I will definately be buying it again. Five stars.

This was a Christmas pressie. What a fab idea! Sadly, bit of a waste of money. After about 2 weeks started growing a few mushrooms, managed to harvest about 300g which were lovely. Since that only 1 more mushroom in two weeks, when you look closely there does appear to be many starting, but sadly not growing further. We have been diligent with these, and sprayed morning and evening, kept in the spare, west facing room , with an ambient temperature of approx. 19 deg C, not on the window-sill, no draughts. Not sure where to go with this now. So far very expensive mushrooms!

Great thing to do with the kids during lockdown. Was a bit sceptical at first as nothing happened for the first two weeks. Then suddenly they started to grow. One in particular became massive. Got just over 500 gms from the first batch. Waiting for the second. Kept them in the corner of the bathroom, away from the radiator and direct light. Sprayed them once a day. And they tasted great.
