These Moab Gore-Tex shoes from Merrell feature dura leather and mesh upper. This hiker gives you traction in any summer situation. Waterproof synthetic and mesh uppers with Gore-Tex lining keep feet cool and dry over a cushioned midsole. Merrell air cushion in the heel absorbs shock and adds stability. Compression moulded EVA foot frame provides cushioning. The outsole is made out of Vibram.

The boots are very comfortable and a very good fit. I did not suffer from blisters and the grip was excellent.
But. On the first day I wore them in wet weather my feet got soaking wet. So much so that I had to wring out my socks to continue. I've had to check out the description to see that I didn't imagine they are gore-tex lined. It seemed too good to be true at the price. It was.
Great walking boots, so long as it is dry.
Update January 2018. I've had these boots for over a year now so I thought I should add to my review as I have done them an injustice.
The boots are generally waterproof. I was out in 6 inches of snow in December and my feet were dry. So why did I end up with wet socks before? My only explanation is it rained all that day and I was wearing full waterproofs and gaiters. I think that the water ran off off me and some of it managed to get in through the tongue. Not that this should happen. Or maybe it ran down my leggings and got beneath the gaiters and got in the top of the boot.
I've revised my rating from 3 stars to 4 stars. I'm walking the Dales Way and the West Highland Way this year and I have bought Berghaus leather boots to replace my old faithful Brashers which have no grip left. The Merrells are very comfortable and I use them regularly but I simply don't trust them for use on a long trek.
You can see by the photo of the heel that the boots were not worn very much. I will never by Merrell again.
UPDATE: Had the boots for less than four months and they're a delight to wear. Unfortunately the upper has come away from the sole at the outer toe on the left foot creating a 2" split - means that water gets in when walking through long grass, for example. Amazon agreed to a replacement with no fuss so hopefully the next pair will be better - replacement arrived within 48 hours of me raising the complaint - very impressive service
They are perhaps not quite as comfy as my old Asolo boots, but I don't think you can really go far wrong with the Gore-Tex/Vibram combination, and I did get them for a very decent price (£63).
Update: Gave these their first serious work-out with a 9 mile trek around Man Tor. Assured grip both ascending a wet limestone bridleway and descending some muddy autumn footpaths. Also were very comfortable and regulated my foot temperature well. Upgraded to 5 stars as I cannot find fault.
quite sturdy, relatively light. I used on windy and low temperature (-1) it is quite warm. This is the first shoe I ever used which is quite warm on peak winter. I exposed to rain only few minutes and seems like it can handle pretty well.
foot grip is good. Colour and appearance is quite pleasant.
smaller than the actual size
because of rain and weather protection, the holes for shoes laces were at slight angle. I can understand the reason behind this. but this makes laces slight difficult to use. I have to put more effort to put and undo the laces
This pair are waterproof, which is an added bonus.
One of the lace eyelets snapped off quite soon after purchase but are still usable. This is the first pair which have ever broken.
