I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.
I went into this book without any expectations, Jacqueline Sinclair is a new author to me. This isn’t a book I would typically reach for but I’m glad i read it. This book was quite unique, I’m not sure I’ve read one with a similar storyline.
Trinity makes some bad decisions one night she is out drinking with her friend Melanie. They decide to try and set up Merrick so they could send the pictures to his wife and expose him for the awful human being he is.
Merrick has a lot more going on than we knew about, he has been through hell and Trinity’s actions tip him over the edge. He wants to ruin her an her mothers business.
I loved Merrick, he had been through so much that my heart just broke for him. I had a tough time connecting with Trinity, her character just didn’t really appeal to me.
This book touched on a very sad subject and my heart broke during parts of it. The author conveyed Merrick’s pain through the book so well that I felt it alongside him. This was a really interesting story and I really enjoyed Jacqueline’s writing style.
We meet Merrick and he is going through heartbreak and loss, from a situation that should never had happened in the first place. He lets the rumours about him carrying on, not willing to let anyone know the truth. He is a man that blames himself for a lot of the things that have happened in his life, but he also does things in order to gain approval from his father.
He is then a victim of a setup and now he is hell bent on revenge, revenge on the person that caused him to loose even more.
Trinity, has just come out of a relationship where she was cheated on and at this time is hurting. Being angry gets her in to a situation where what she thought to be true at the time, what she believed, was totally wrong.
Meeting Merrick, Trinity see's that there is more to the story than she actually thought. These two people are thrown together in such unusual circumstances.
This story shows that you cannot always believe what you hear, always get the facts from both parties involved.
Here is some great writing, and you will be wanting to continue reading right until the end.

We meet Merrick, he co owns Kincaid property with his father. He has spent his life trying to get his approval, even married his best friend. Life gets hard for him. It gets even harder one night at Simon's bar, where he meets Trinity.
We meet Trinity, she is only daughter of William and Margaret Steele. She is learning the ropes of taking over her mums foundation at beginning of the year. She trying to get over Tim her ex fiancée. Her life takes a turn for the worst when she agrees with her best friend Melanie to help get Merrick back.
What will Melanie and Trinity do? What is Merrick's secret?
This story had me gasping and wanting to know more. Also made me want to know all the brothers stories.
I loved this story it is full of everything you could possibly imagine and want. Love, hate, denial, revenge you name it, its in here. The story line and plot were fantastic and well thought out with brilliant characters as well. The descriptive language used leaves nothing unsaid.
The book is set out in two POV, Merrick and Trinity and explains a world of deceit, lost trust and eventually hope and bright side. It flows well from one chapter to the next and doesn’t leave gaps or plot holes. This book is part of a series but can be read as a stand-alone.
I rate this story 5 stars
