    I purchased this as my old one was looking tired and added this onto an order I had placed, as I thought even if it is a piece of tat for the price I am paying it wouldn't matter. After receiving my package about 26 hours after ordering I am pleased to say the item is more than adequate for the task at hand, and although the wrist strap isn't massive, I have found it will fit most people, unless you are on the larger end of the spectrum.

    All in all I am very happy with my purchase and after measuring with an ESD meter I can report this item is fully functional.

    It's difficult to review an anti-static wrist strap as one never knows whether or not it worked. All I can say is that I used it when building my pc and when it was switched on everything worked fine so obviously nothing got damaged by static electricity in the build process. Whether I'd have got the same result just touching an area of bare metal on a radiator before starting the build, as I'd seen recommended elsewhere, I'll never know, but taking into account the relative costs of this strap and a new motherboard or graphics card it seemed a risk not worth taking.

    On a quality front the construction seems adequate.

    Pretty much a must if you like taking apart your computer for a play/clean every now and again. I'd been meaning to pick one up for years but never got round to it. Glad I have, I feel so much safer knowing I'm better grounded when I'm poking around my motherboard. Wrist strap is lightweight and nice enough to wear, seems to do it's job because I certainly haven't fried anything yet.

    Only issues would be; the crocodile clip has a tendency to just fall off/wriggle loose pretty easy, which meant that halfway through yanking out a component the wrist strap would boing right off in to my face or in to the PC case. The wire also had a tendency to flop about all over my circuits quite a few times which isn't great when your hands are already full.

    Other than that, fantastic! (and the price is pretty awesome too, compared to some high street shops).

    Amazing value anti static wrist strap! If you deal with any electronic components such as upgrading or repairing PC's, phones etc then this is an essential piece of kit. The strap is of decent quality and the coiled cable is of good length and can be stretched. The elasticated band is adjustable and the retaining clip, grips very well and does not slip at all. The crocodile clip is replaceable. The supplier is based in the Far East so delivery time was longer than normal, but amazingly the delivery was free. It arrived in good condition. Highly recommended.

    Received this item within the expected timescale. The item was defective. When testing its resistance , there was no continuity ie there was no connection between the wrist band plate and the plug in jack. I decided to strip the item to find out why. The centre core wire was not connected to the wristband fastener. If you buy one of these be sure to check it before you use it.

    Having decided to replace my mother board, I wanted to make sure that I was properly protected when I inserted the new board. The wrist band allowed me to earth myself to the chassis to prevent static build up affecting the board, while working on it.
    It is a wise precaution when adding or changing memory boards and when putting the CPU in its socket. Sensitive electronic devices can easily be affected by static. Working on the inside of a computer at home, on a carpet, increases this risk.

    The product is functional and provides good, reliable connection between the wrist and ground.
    The quality of the product is not great, the press stud on the strap is poorly shaped and does not connect well with the stud on the wire. The wire is made of plastic instead of the usual silicone so it does get in the way a bit more and won't completely revert to it's coiled shape if stretched. The strain-relief parts of the stud and 4mm plug are rigid and will not provide good strain relief. If the product is used frequently the wire will likely soon break at these points.
    The strap is decent and is quite comfortable. If your wrist is smaller than the strap when set at it's longest you may need to adjust the lengthening mechanism, since simply tightening up the slack and locking in place with the mechanism as supplied will cause the excess to get in the way of the press stud. It is best to remove the locking clip then fold the strap over itself, then pass the folded end through and reattach the clip.
    The picture shows different packaging and a slightly different product to the one supplied, the picture also shows on the back of the packaging that this is a PACE product, which it is certainly not.
    This is definitely worth the money, it is low cost but I would not use in a high reliability environment.

My husband drove a copper stake into the ground outside and attached a copper braided cable, to which I have attached the wristband via the crocodile clip that comes with it.
