There are many benefits of wearing socks made with bamboo fibre.
Bamboo fabric is incredibly soft, wearing a bamboo T-shirt for example is like wearing cashmere.
Bamboo fabric is smooth and luxuriously comfortable. At a microscopic level, bamboo fibre has a round surface. Because of this, it's very smooth and sits perfectly next to the skin.
Bamboo absorbs and evaporates sweat in a split second. It doesn't stick to the skin. Its extraordinary natural breathability keeps you comfortable and dry for longer. Bamboo fabric is highly breathable in hot weather and also keeps you significantly warmer in the cold than traditional fabrics.
Bamboo clothing is anti-static, so it sits very well next to your skin, not clinging to it. It's also UV protective (it cuts out 98% of harmful UV rays) and anti-fungal. It also wicks away moisture keeping you comfortable and dry.
Bamboo is remarkably breathable. In the heat, bamboo is naturally cool to the touch. The cross-section of the bamboo fiber is filled with various micro-gaps and micro-holes. It excellent at moisture absorption and ventilation. It's also very warm in cold weather, because of the same micro structure.
Bamboo is not chemically treated and its fibres are smooth and round, so is a non irritant and perfect for sensitive or allergy prone skin. Repeated tests on Bamboo clothing show it is strong & durable.
Bamboo is 100% naturally grown and it is 100% sustainable. It thrives naturally without using any pesticides or fertilizers and the fibre is 100% biodegradable. Bamboo also absorbs 35% more carbon dioxide than equivalent stands of trees, helping to reduce the growing levels of carbon dioxide making it more hygienic and a healthier alternative to other fabrics.

They're a bit too thin so they get worn out if you take them for a long walk.
I got size 39-42 (I'd normally wear 42-43) but they appeared slightly too large for me before first wash. They've shrunk a bit afterwards.
One more thing, they are pretty long and tight around the calf.
The socks look and feel very nice, they are nice to wear and are very smooth and comfortable. They breath well and don't leave lots of black fluff everywhere.
On the downside, unless you have absolutely smooth feet, they wear out very quickly. I have callouses on my heals, and the socks wore away very quickly from rubbing on them. I got maybe half the wear out of them than I would on other similarly priced socks. So they are not quite the bargain that they seem.
I lowered this product to 2 stars, as I'm 6 months down the line and have thrown out 5 pairs of these socks due to the heals wearing through.
The ones delivered are OK, a good fit, but are much thinner than the Bambouse ones advertised - I already have some of them and they are much thicker.
I'll keep them as they're cheap enough.

Nice socks, but be careful removing the tags from the socks, I easily made a hole in one doing this although I used reasonable care. THey are quite thin but they are OK so far.Published 2 months ago by David Brown
