Product Description

Performances by BBC Radio 3s New Generation Artists the ATOS Trio have been met with high acclaim from critics and audiences alike. Following their recordings of the Pianos Trios of Herzogenberg and Suk, the ATOS Trio now turns to two key works of the trio literature. Schumann and Brahms were inspired by Mendelssohns Piano Trios and it would not be an exaggeration to claim that Mendelssohn was the father of the romantic, modern piano trio. Here we have a new benchmark recording! The ATOS Trio recently performed Mendelssohns Piano Trio No. 2 as part of BBC Radio 3s lunchtime concerts and will be performing Mendelssohns Piano Trio No. 1 at the City of London Festival in July.
