This book is an excellent read, even for a Signalman, however, my only adverse comment would be on its small length - £1.99 for just over 30 pages is not such good value. However, it won't put me off buying the second part. Well done for all the details (I started on BR in 1970), and it evoked so many memories of things that have gone forever.
"Dropgrate" hit the mark again with the narrative in his own inimitable style, and some lovely pics from his visits to various places around England locations. Looking forward to Part II, his time at 70A firing to Eric "Sooty" Saunders - and how "Sooty" acquired that sobriquet.
