Mine is all painted and ready to add to my Memoir 44 collection. The tanks were a joy to paint, and the miniatures matched up nicely with a bare minimum of modelling and brush work. The rules look balanced and interesting. I`m sure the Pacific Theatre expansion will add a whole new dimension to my games. I am currently playing through (and thoroughly enjoying) playing through the host of various scenarios from my base Memoir 44 boxed set... which allows me to paint the pieces in each expansion (I bought them all, same time from Amazon) without interrupting play at all. When I`ve finally painted everything for the add on sets, I`ll finally take the plunge and pant the base game pieces. Meanwhile I`m plodding away happily. The Pacific Theatre set is highly attractive, and the rules look fascinating. Can`t wait to sink my teeth into them.

Lets be clear you need to have the original Memoir 44 game, before you should consider buying this. I'd also buy the terrain pack as well just to be safe. However asumming you've got these, this is a teriffic addition to the memoir series. A combination of war game and board game which is set in WW2 in the US / Japan theater.

8 new scenarios are provided which vary considerably. What always amazes me is how the creators of this game have managed with only dice and some command/tactic cards and rules, to recreate some of the characteristics of the original battles. Its very very clever. Having said that don't think this is hugely complicated. It really isn't, and the basic principals can be picked up really quickly.

When you first start setting the game up it will probably take 15 mins, and the games on average will probably last over an hour. However as you get to know the rules a game can be over much quicker than that.

Overall a superb addition, as are all the expansions I bought so far.

Heard a lot of positive reviews about this, was the last army pack I had to procure. All pieces feel a little cheap, being noticable smaller than the other armies. Some warping. Otherwise, scenarios are reasonable, other parts fine. Not as good as the other two army packs in terms of pieces, but terrain tiles are far more useful and interesting.

With this expansion, you now enter the jungle. Get ready to take on the Japanese with a new set of soldiers, tanks, guns and terrain.
That sounds more like advertising blurb than a review. Still, it is what it is.
