Since then she has released the Chloe Boston, Butterscotch Jones, Wendover House, and Miss Henry Mystery series. Melanie Jackson is the award-winning author of more than seventy novels, novellas and poems published in various languages. She lives with her writer husband, her bossy cat and spoiled dog in the Sierra foothills where it is almost impossible to grow pumpkins (or anything else the deer like). 5.0 out of 5 stars Miss Henry Rocks 18 Aug. 2013
By Amazon Customer - Published on Amazon.com

I have loved all the Miss Henry mysteries. This one is no different. There is an exhibition of death art a museum, and Esteban is showcasing his Dia de los Muertos puppets. Miss Henry has come along to help him set up the puppet theater, and a murder is committed and a mummy is stolen. There are a lot of suspects and not many clues, but Miss Henry's ability to find patterns, honed to rapier sharpness from her many years as an analyst with the NSA, helps her and the police to solve the case.
Enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Love Miss Henry! 5 Aug. 2013

Not sure why, but I really enjoy Miss Henry and the other characters in the book. She stands on her own so well.
No foolish dragging out of the story line, Miss Henry solves the murder using her head, and then it is over.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good Read 3 Aug. 2013

I have enjoyed reading all of the Miss Henry Mystery Books. I've become good friends with the characters and have found it difficult to put each story away until it's finished. Not my usual "blood and guts" type murder mystery but a very relaxing and enjoyable read. I started on book 4 and was then compelled to purchase the rest to find out about the characters and continue their little adventures. Perhaps a little bit like Midsomer Murders (a BBC programme) in that where ever Miss Henry goes people tend to die ... ....
4.0 out of 5 stars I want to be Miss Henry when I grow up... 18 Feb. 2014

A wonderful series with an excellent role-model for those of us ladies of a certain age... Miss Henry is an ex-government weapon trying to fashion a new and gentler life for herself in an artists community in California. She is smart, completely believable and a heroine for the age. Read all of these books - you'll be glad you did.
5.0 out of 5 stars Dark story 14 July 2013

Miss Henry is again in a situation. She has gone to Los Angeles to help Esteban with a bizarre art show during the famous Santa Ana winds. I have been to LA when the air is putrid so I could just imagine the setting. The author has the mood right and the plot moves fast. I enjoyed the book and I would recommend it. What next?
