Product Description

Product Description

Richard (Thomas Jane), Ron (Jeremy Piven), Jonathan (Rob Lowe) and Tim (Christian McKay) are old college buddies who gather for one week each year in Big Sur to celebrate Tim’s birthday and catch up on each others lives. On the surface, they look like typical men in their forties, with careers, families and responsibilities, but as with most people, there is more to them than meets the eye.

As the week progresses, they go down the rabbit hole of excess: mountains of drugs are consumed to a blaring rock 'n' roll soundtrack and parties with much younger women spin out of control. Exhausted and run ragged, they bare their souls and soon realise none of their lives will ever be the same again as their reunion takes a much darker turn and a promise deep from their past is brought back into light.

I must say I'm very surprised to be the first person to write a review for I melt with you.
plot: 4 college friends in their mid 40's join up for a reunion, they go stay in a posh house where they get high on drugs - things take a dramatic turn which changes their friendships forever and ruins their lives for good leading to a fatal tradgic circumstance for the 4 friends.

I melt with you is world class drama with some talented preformances - its concept is along the lines of a serious version of the hangover and Middle Men. it perfects significance of friendship and events the fright of a persons shame and the calamity it could lead to.
What starts off as a scenic film turns into a sexually explicit unnerving tragedy that'll glue you to the screen and keep you on the edge of your seat guessing and guessing what you think will be the result of these 4 troubled mens destiny.

I melt with you is one of the most shocking and hell bent sexually explicit films I've seen in months - whatever you do just take my advice and buy this film!

'I melt with you' was recommended to me recently by a friend who described it as the best and most disturbing film he had ever seen. The critics mostly hated it. After watching it the other day I can say most wholeheartedly that I agree with my friend.

IMWY is small-budget-but-big ideas movie released in 2011 and directed by Mark Pennington. It follows four forty-something college buddies - Ron, Richard, Jonathan and Tim - who reunite at a seaside cottage once a year to party and let off steam. Beginning with an almost art-house pastiche of their daily lives, the first ten minutes - it has to be said - are of-putting and need to be ignored...the film's true start is the meeting at the cottage. The confusing direction disappears and we get to know four blokish but mostly - in the beginning at least - likeable fellas - who are old enough to know better - blowing off steam with booze, banter and drugs. An awful lot of drugs. Seriously, this film makes 'Fear and Loathing...' seem like Mary Poppins...and as it happens, the ludicrously excessive consumption is essential to the development of the film, as will be seen.

The insanely self-indulgent consumption of narcotics continues for 2 or 3 more days, with each of the four becoming more and more crumpled by the excess. As they unravel physically and psychologically - the truth comes out as to why such levels of recklessness and self indulgence are taking place. Ron is in trouble with the law, Jonathan has turned hid medical practice into a drug peddling business, Richard is a failed writer and Tim killed his sister in a car accident.

During a party after Richard has picked up some locals, their unravelment reaches its zenith, a teenage pact is revealed and the movie turns dark. Very dark.

Have you ever hated a movie so much you want to track down the director and writer and ask for the two hours of your life back? If you're looking for that kind of emotional experience, then definitely rent this movie. It's a loud, obnoxious, self-indulgent rehash of middle age regret, with testosterone stereotypes, lame dialogue and bad acting (mostly on the part of Thomas Jane). I had high hopes for this after reading many reviews that called the movie daring exciting and original. Maybe if I were middle-aged and did a lot of coke, I would have related to it.

A more depressing display of excessive drinking, hard drugs and suicide in the name of lifelong friendship I have yet to see. Someone said it was a sexually explicit film. Where? Definitely NOT my cup of tea.

This has to be one of the worst films I have ever seen. Just don't bother with it. There's far better out there than this!
