As expected from Erin Noelle, this is a book that doesn’t settle, the characters take the storyline by the scruff of the neck and gallop off. I was flipping pages like a lunatic trying to keep up with it.
Teague and Finlay were simply superb and given the situation that brought them together I was blown away by the pair of them. Together they were just absolutely perfect, they were so suited, the perfect match but it didn’t fall into place immediately.
Finlay was scraping by but all that changed when her path crossed with the delicious Teague and his crappy day resulted in the day of her dreams. And in the long run a day that would change his life too.
Finlay’s good fortune means that she can take care of everything she needs and then some, but she doesn’t want to do anything without tracking down the man she can’t forget, the guy responsible for her twist of fate.
Oh and by the way, wait till you get a load of Fiona, her little niece with the attitude that belittle her single digit years! She was a sharp as a tack but cute as a button too boot!!
Not only has Erin given us a fun read she has also added some great characters and not just the main ones Finlay & Teague, the secondary characters are brilliant. I loved her niece Fiona and Finlay's sister Farrah WOW.
ps I'd love a book on Farrah and Doc.
Overall, I found Megaballs to be an okay read. It won't be in my 'I'll read it again at some point' Kindle category like her other books, but I don't feel like I wasted a day of my life reading it either. Maybe if Teague and Finley got together sooner so we had more of them as a couple I would have been happier to give more stars.
2.5/5* from me.
I have read all that Erin has written so far and I thought that Megaballs stood out from the rest because it was different from what she has previously done and it was a delight to read.
The characters were loveable, endearing and easy to read about, they were just people, everyday people. Ok maybe the things in this book didn’t happen every day to people but it does happen and that is what made this book real to me. I could visualise this happening.
There was lovely humour in this book that had me hooked from the get go, some sexy and serious parts but to me this was just such an enjoyable book I could not put it down.
Finley is a lovely woman who is helping her sister (Farrah); Farrah has a daughter Fiona, who loves cooking. They lived day to day with each other, helping each other out, however, when their lives were changed one night but an anonymous tip from a stranger (for the better) they themselves never changed, well Farrah a wee bit but the adorable Fiona kept her in check which was so adorable. Finley though was still as sensible as she always was which was great.
Teague was a very conscious business man who would do anything to save his families business, flew to his lawyers to find out the fate of the company. Things were not great but he had faith and he believed in Karma. Little did he know that fate would bring him Finley?
I loved loved loved Fiona, Farrah’s daughter, she is so devious, and you will love her. She has a POV to herself and it was just adorable.
This is a book which will make you laugh out loud but also make you turn each page and maybe go back again to read from the beginning that is how good I felt it was. A great writer and a great book.
I for one could not stop laughing at parts of this book and it was refreshing to read such a book.
