This pains me to write because I've loved everything Erin has written to date. For me, though, Megaballs was just an okay read. I struggle to categorise it as a romance when only the very end of the story was true romance. It isn't chick lit and not entirely comedy or romantic comedy, I don't know, I just can't place it. I loved the idea behind Fiona's character but just found it a little too much. Even trying to look at it from a wacky, fairytale, not meant to be believable way, I still found myself constantly thinking what 6 year old would ever talk or act like that-- and yes, I know that us the point. Also as a Brit from London, I found some of the dialogue used for Fiona a little insulting. Again that is just me and my opinion--we don't all talk like a cross between a 'cockney geezer' and the queen.

Overall, I found Megaballs to be an okay read. It won't be in my 'I'll read it again at some point' Kindle category like her other books, but I don't feel like I wasted a day of my life reading it either. Maybe if Teague and Finley got together sooner so we had more of them as a couple I would have been happier to give more stars.

2.5/5* from me.

Please find yourself a comfy space to settle down with this book and it might be an idea to keep everyone else safely out of the way because I guarantee you will be giggling your butt off before you know it! The looks I got from the guys in the kitchen at work during our lunch break had me seriously re-evaluating the decision to read in public, I was crying with laughter.
As expected from Erin Noelle, this is a book that doesn’t settle, the characters take the storyline by the scruff of the neck and gallop off. I was flipping pages like a lunatic trying to keep up with it.
Teague and Finlay were simply superb and given the situation that brought them together I was blown away by the pair of them. Together they were just absolutely perfect, they were so suited, the perfect match but it didn’t fall into place immediately.
Finlay was scraping by but all that changed when her path crossed with the delicious Teague and his crappy day resulted in the day of her dreams. And in the long run a day that would change his life too.
Finlay’s good fortune means that she can take care of everything she needs and then some, but she doesn’t want to do anything without tracking down the man she can’t forget, the guy responsible for her twist of fate.
Oh and by the way, wait till you get a load of Fiona, her little niece with the attitude that belittle her single digit years! She was a sharp as a tack but cute as a button too boot!!

Megaballs by Erin Noelle
3 stars!!!

“Wealth is not what you have in your bank account, but what you have in your heart.”

Erin Noelle tackles a new genre with her first foray into Romantic Comedy. Megaballs is a light hearted read with a healthy dose of Mr Sexy Eyes and a cute six-year-old kid that could have stood her own with the blue rinse brigade.

Finley Farewell is a young woman struggling to support herself, her sister and niece. While Finley’s sister has delusions of grandeur, Finley is more grounded, sensible and serious, she keeps their heads above water even though it feels like a sinking ship most of the time. Finley works at an Italian restaurant where the waitresses are akin to Hooters but more up market, relying on her tips to keep them afloat a sleazy manager is easy to stomach when the clientele are high rollers. Late once again because of her sister Finley is thrust into work where one of the men in her section catches her attention, well his eyes at least.

“That’s it, old man. Succumb to the power of the titties. You know you want to.”

Teague Goodman is the CEO of his family’s farm business, a young entrepreneur that has seen the business flourish and become a multi-million-dollar company. With success comes resentment and jealousy and none more so from the huge conglomerates that want even more of the lions share that they already have. Now in the fight of his life against one of the said greedy conglomerates, Teague’s bad day gets worse and off to drown his sorrows he ends up in the restaurant where Finley works.

Finley is a klutz and it seems that this trait of hers is desperate to get her in Teague’s lap in more ways than one.
