About the Author
Osho is one of the best-known and most provocative spiritual teachers of our time. The Sunday Times has named him one of the "1,000 makers of the twentieth century"; the novelist Tom Robbins has called him "the most dangerous man since Jesus Christ". Nearly two decades after his death in 1990, the influence of his teachings continues to grow, reaching seekers around the world.

In an enlightening and, as always, playful manner, Osho gathers these wonderful people in one text which describes each mystic's story: from Bodhidharma looking at a wall for 9 years until he met his first disciple, to George Gurdjieff's prison "If you wish you to get out of prison--or better to say, if you don't want to be a prison--the first thing you must do is realize that you are in prison ... or you are the prison," to Heraclitus' assertion that "Only change is eternal," to the story of Krishnamurti and Osho's close rendezvous.
The wisdom is infinite in this mystic anthology.
may even be more interesting than what is already known about these extraordinary people. Certainly, his
understanding of the life and death of Jesus is radically different from any other interpretation. It will stir you to your depths.
As for as Osho was concerned the History does not reveal anything to such great personalities. They can look like only Mythological characters. So we teach our children history and not Mythology. We teach them arithmetic not poetry. But these are the persons who are the real foundations of human consciousness. History is dead but mythology is for ever. So knowing these wonderful persons are worth much more than historical ones.
