Wedding Planner Amy doesn't believe in marriage but still wants to succeed in her chosen career and is prepared to put her life on hold to do it. Old boyfriends, a sexy best man and a haunted past, make Amy's first wedding in charge, full of humorous, poignant and sexy encounters. Owen challenges her all work and no play philosophy. I enjoyed the other books in this 'Do Not Disturb' series and this final one is just as easy and pleasurable to read. The characters in this novella are complex and well crafted and the ending is fittingly romantic.
I received a copy of this book from Harper Impulse via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

Newly appointed Events Manager Amy doesn’t believe is love. She’s watched her mum being jilted and had previous boyfriends break her heart. Instead she pours her heart and soul in to creating perfect weddings for other people and her first big wedding in charge just happens to be for ex-boyfriend Luke. Determined not to let the past interfere with her future Amy tries to bury herself in her work, but the very handsome best man and fellow work addict Owen begins to get under her skin.
Spread over the course of the wedding weekend this novella has the perfect pace as Amy battles with herself whether to let Owen into her life and her bed…if she’s caught she loses her job. The chemistry between them is brilliantly written and I think any woman would find it hard to resist Owen’s charms. I loved all the little dramas that Amy has to overcome with her job, which for me gave the story more depth. The build-up in this book is done really well and although it’s short we are given a lot of insight into how these two main characters tick.
This is my first encounter with Charlotte Phillips writing and I really enjoyed the style and pace of writing and would I’d definitely like to read something else from her, perhaps something slightly longer. This is a great summer read perfect for a day at the beach. I’d rate it 5/5.
I’d like to thank Harper Impulse and Netgalley for my review copy.

Meet Me at the Honeymoon Suite is the fifth novella in Charlotte Phillips Do Not Disturb series. Thank you to Harper Impulse for the review copy of this title.

Each novella is linked by the hotel the stories are set in. I love the hotel theme because it promotes one of the things I love about reading – escapism. In each story you are able to lose yourself in a different element of the hotel idea whether it’s working in it or staying as a guest.

This novella is all about Amy. Amy is the Lavington’s new event manager and is thrown in at the deep end with her first wedding to organise. Unfortunately, she knows the groom. Owen, the groom’s best friend meets Amy at the start of the story and she mistakenly assumes his identity. There is a definite spark between the characters in their flirty banter right from the start. Owen’s initial anonymity allows the relationship to develop between the characters throughout, even when Amy discovers he’s the best man.

Although it’s predictable it’s enjoyable in that you know where it’s going. There’s nothing hidden and the writing flows at an easy pace. If you enjoy spending an hour with a book then the five stories in this will fill an hour each. Each one is a standalone novel with the subtle link between them. If you want to check out something similar you should have a look at Cathy Bramley’s Wickham Hall series or Hester Browne’s novel The Honeymoon Hotel.

When you've loved a series it's always hard to say goodbye, and that's just how I feel about the Do Not Disturb series. I've read all five novellas (and reviewed all except the first book), and feel like I know the staff and guests of The Lavington boutique hotel inside out!

Meet Me at the Honeymoon Suite introduces Amy, the Wedding and Events Manager (who's new to the role and on probation, but ssshhhhh- let the clients believe she's experienced). Determined to prove her worth and get confirmed in post, she needs everything to be perfect at this wedding. The only problem is, the groom is her ex-boyfriend Luke Pemberton...

However, it turns out Amy should be more worried about Luke's charming, attractive best man Owen than her ex. It's just a shame that both Owen and Amy are such workaholics, because despite the undeniable fireworks sparking between them and the pair ending up in bed together, it seems there's no chance of a future for the couple.

In keeping with the rest of the series, this finale is a great contemporary romance. I enjoyed the wedding setting (I want the brides flowers- they sound absolutely divine- as do the champagne cocktails!) and the tension between the couple radiated off the page. It sizzles! I absolutely believed in Amy and Owen's relationship and the potential problems their 'all work and no play' attitude could have on it- but I crossed my fingers and toes for it to work out between them in the end. This is romantic fiction, after all...

I'd highly recommend the whole series and I'm hoping there's more to come from Charlotte Phillips, and soon. After saving these last two books to read for weeks, I read them both in a few hours- oops! I really do need to learn to pace myself...
