Firstly, I liked it, I liked the structure and layout, it was easy to read and the research at the beginning added to the credibility of the project.
The book caters for all, it keeps things simple and is not only aimed at those who are heavily engaged in sports and other disciplines. I liked the meal plans which were attractively set out and included foods which were tasty and not bland. One criticism I would add is that there could have been calorific values attached to the meals in the plans as many people are now counting calories ( myself included)
I particularly liked the section on walking as many people ( again including myself) have taken walking up instead of running and makes the exercise part of the book relevant to more people looking to change their lifestyle. I also liked the value and comparison charts and saw these as a useful addition to the book.
In conclusion, this is a book that I would recommend to friends and others who were looking for something different in their approach to a healthy lifestyle, a publication which is based on sound research, which is attractively presented and which keeps things simple.

This is a great introduction to the Mediterranean Diet, packed with helpful information, I confess to not knowing much abut the subject, but having read the book I came away wanting to learn more. There are sample menus which I find are great when looking for inspiration for meals, and I liked the section on walking as many diet plans are aimed at more strenuous exercise regimes.
I found it easy to read, and it is the sort of book that you would return to again and again.

This is a really useful book which is easy to read, understand and follow. The introduction to the Mediterranean diet really made me think about the importance of knowing what I am putting into my body and reconnecting with simple, tasty ingredients which enhance both body and mind. If like me you don't know the calories content of specific foods, you will find the sample menu great as it outlines exactly the types and amounts of food you should be eating in order to lose weight. Well done Jago - you have taken the hard work out of dieting!
