There is a hidden jewel in the pages of this book. By working with your kids, you practice meditation as well, thereby lowering your stress. Also, the author lists options to engage your children and keep them focused on daily meditations. This is an excellent holistic alternative to over the counter medications, and I highly advise you take the time to download it!
Second, the book is full of practical, hands-on information you can apply right away to help the kids in your life relax. The skills you'll teach them by following the suggestions and instructions set forth in this book will serve them not only now, but their entire lives. What a wonderful gift to give them now for their adult selves!
The steps for the included exercises are straightforward and easy to follow. After discussing the benefits of meditation for kids, which include an effective means of dealing with escalating emotions plus a great stress-buster, the author dives into the specifics of teaching meditation to children. She goes on to explain, in just the right level of detail, what forms of meditation are suitable for kids.
After all this comes the best part: making meditation interesting for a child. If it's fun, if there's a game involved, and if it invokes good feelings, a child will want to participate. The author provides keys to making meditation a highly enjoyable experience from a child's perspective.
If you're looking for a healthy family activity that will benefit you and the children in your life, then give this book a try. You'll pick up excellent pointers on how to help your kids (or grandkids, nieces, nephews, and so on) develop a lifelong healthy habit.
