So really it's about compromise, bypass the bluetooth function (assuming you can get the LEDs to illuminate in this state) and keep solid Wiimote Audio, but limit the number of Wiimotes you can pair simultaneously, or pair up to 4 wiimotes, but lose effectively the audio function. For me it's worth it, your mileage may vary.
It took a little bit of effort to setup which might be due to me being a NOOB with emulation.
My only real issue is that I can't get the firmware update utility to work.
Nice sleek design. Good coverage and the same IR set up as original Wii sensor.
Really quick set up. Sensor automatically switches off IR bulbs when Wii remote not connected to prolong lifespan.
Niggles:
Does not support audio Passthrough to Wii remotes, it just ends up a garbled mess.
This was a deal breaker for me.
So I ordered this dolphinbar because I lost my old one. The package arrived in great conditions, and I noticed this must be a new model because my previous one didn't have the "power" switch on the back. After a quick google search I found that these are now the standard models. So everything was looking good, I plugged the bar in my pc, attempted to upgrade the firmware and it said it was already updated to the newest version, so all good. I then downloaded the most recent development (not "stable") version of dolphin and attempted to sync my official wii remote plus to the bar by pressing the sync button on the bar and on the controller. Lights were flashing on both devices until they stopped flashing and turn off. I figured I might need to do a reboot of my pc and I did just that but still no luck. Tried downloading other versions of dolphin, always have the "continuous scanning" option on - no luck.
So I searched and searched online for answers to this problem and it seems like no one else was having this issue. I still attempted to sync the controller on the following days, switching modes and dolphin versions to no avail. I then contacted the seller who replied straight away. I took a photo of my bar and sent a video of my setup and they got in touch with the manufacturer. In the end we reached the conclusion that the best way to approach this would be a refund which I accepted and have since received.
So in the end even though my bar didn't work I got probably the BEST customer support ever in both my online and offline shopping. The seller showed real interest in finding a solution to my problem and did it so quickly too. Thank you so much!
