I love the Mad Max series, end this one is up to standard. Witty writing, good characters well portrayed, and as always an interesting mystery. It's good to watch the developing interest between Max and his 'woman policeman', as he calls her in fun.

I am a big fan of the Mad Max series but found this book rather disappointing. The plot, which took Max away from home, lacked credibility, and the usual humour was somewhat lacking. There were also errors in the text, which I found irritating.

Book probably OK but 'translation' to ebook terrible.

About three quarters of all definite and indefinite articles , many short prepositions and short pronouns were missing.

Probably the lowest quality of ebook I have read

Enjoyed the story BUT does no one check the words on the page. Letters missing from words, words missing from sentences. This happens on nearly every page. It interrupts the flow of reading when one has to stop to make sense of what is there. Whoever allows this to go through should be ashamed of such sloppy editing.

Can only echo what other reviewers have said. Weakest of the series plotwise. And seems to have been transferred to Kindle by dyslexic computer. Very off-putting, and NOT a very good advert for Kindle books!

A different rhythm to this one, not quite so fast paced as some of the others. It keeps you guessing to the end with a couple of twists in the tail. A good read.

Not quite the humour of previous Mad Max stories: miss that as this is what makes these stories different. however still an excellent read.

Did anyone else find many print errors in this Kindle book. Some of them were so bad they almost stopped my enjoyment of the actual story - and they certainly weren't in the hard copy of this book I got from my local library. I'm not talking about grammar, but actual errors in the set-up (letters missed off words etc). Still love Mad Max though.
