ROG joining privileges now more accessible! Introducing Maximus VI Hero, the newest series from the ROG family, which packs outstanding quality, overclocking capabilities, and gamer-friendly features such as in-game visualized Sonic Radar detection and GameFirst II network optimization. It's also loaded with amazing reliability, exclusive SupremeFX crystal-clear audio, and famous ROG dynamic tweaking powers, as well as the brand's attractive red and black design. But there's more: look below to check it out!
ROG-exclusive technology implements multi-approach shielding, with ELNA audio capacitors helping offer 8-channel HD sound that's equal in power, clarity, and range to dedicated sound cards. This is the first-ever onboard sound capable of true audiophile-grade performance, set to revolutionize the way you hear games, movies, music, and even other people via chat. Discover a whole new dimension of superior audio and get ready to rule.
Completely digital architecture supplies the highest stability and precision for the CPU and memory, featuring dynamic speed adjustments. Power components are also upgraded. NexFET MOSFETs handle up to 90% efficiency under normal operation and better durability in half the size of standard MOSFETs. Exclusive BlackWing chokes remain cool even when sizzling with as much as 60 amps of power with 3-5C lower temps and minimal-loss power delivery. Japan-made 10K Black Metallic capacitors last five times longer and deliver 20% greater extreme temperature endurance than generic solid state capacitors, easily standing up to hardcore demands.
The new ROG UEFI BIOS includes a Last Modified feature that records recent changes. And to make sure you never forget a tuning idea, the in-BIOS Quick Note is perfect for jotting down memos and system details. It sure beats easily-misplaced paper notes! There's also F4 My Favorites and Shortcuts for easy access to the BIOS features you need most, and you can even adjust boot logo size. The new BIOS also lets you name individual SATA ports so you can easily identify them to save time when defining boot sequences and other drive-related settings. With ROG Pulse, a cool flashing ROG logo indicates system activity, and very importantly, the helpful SSD Secure Erase has been added, restoring SSD speed from inside the BIOS and with no need for less compatible third party utilities. The colours of the box brings you in first, then the feel the materials, then lifting the cover attached to the rest pf the box kept in place by velcro to be presented with this piece of art. You read key features of the board whilst glancing at a sturdy, shiny piece of kit. You open the actual box and you get that amazing smell of your new product hitting you in the face and then you feel the metals which hold it all together. The colours of the board are nothing short of beautiful.
Every single thing about this board screams top class and I can't wait to fit it all together. If just the look makes me happy, imagine piecing my future powerhouse together.
Once all the parts have come within the next few months, I will do a quick review on the board and hopefully say why you should buy it. And ignore the guy that gave it one star, he obviously made some rookie mistakes and has resulted to blaming the board rather than his engineering skills.

I've received all the components for my computer except the graphics card (still choosing). This motherboard is perfect. Easy to use BIOS, lots to do in the BIOS, very easy to use. It runs all the components really well and I haven't been this happy with spending more for so long. 5/5 MUST BUY IF LOOKING FOR HIGH QUALITY. VERY welcoming and easy to understand for beginners too.

Just loved the Sonic Radar, some bundled software that allows you to pin point the bad guys in FPS by sound. You get this cool radar screen showing you where they are in relation to your position.
And the OC'ing software is just great. AISuite III let me set up a couple of profiles for different games and was real simple to do. Only thing that surprised me was that four way optimisation is not available for any of the ROG boards. But I guess with these top end board you are going to want to do it yourself.
All the USB connections you could want, plenty SATA ports for storage and over all a just fabulously good looking piece of kit.
Totally hooked on the ROG brand, top products to top systems.
A great board with some amazing features, a definite buy for the high end.

Good points - build quality.
You get all the connectors you need and even labels to identify which is which
Check cooler compatibility there are some monsters out there that won't fit (but the monsters tend to to be difficult to fit anyway and are not necessarily any quieter or more effective)
SATA connectors point forwards - even in a large Antec case this was inconvenient and could make future drive expansion unnecessarily tricky
