Make sure you see "BioMax" protein, a while a go Maxinutrition changed Promax and Progain etc. to use really cheap nasty milk and whey protein concentrates.
Milk and Whey Concentrates don't "taste" to different, however the texture is a lot thicker, and if you mix them with hot oats the protein denatures and turns the whole bowl into a VERY nasty paste that's virtually inedible.
So even though they're the most expensive for protein, they also try and shaft you when they can by replacing good quality protein with concentrates , non isolates, and non hydrolysates.
OK if you get the ones with BIOMAX in, however it's still just Isolates and hydrolysates, which can be found cheaper elsewhere.
Maxinutrition: "We used to be expensive, but good quality, now that people trust us we're expensive and bad quality"
Ever since being bought out by GSK they haven't made any improvements, just a lot of rebranding and profit driving measures.... sad really.
Firstly the shake itself, it's very easy to mix, it came with a handy drinks bottle which you shake it in and I have never encountered any unmixed powder.
It tastes nice and creamy, you wouldn't have thought it had been mixed with water if you didn't know and I quite like the chocolate taste. It's texture is quite thick so I'm sure you could add a little more water to make it go a bit further if you want.
I've found it very useful to have to hand, having two young children, when I get back from a run I don't always have time to sort myself out something to refuel with. I would really like to try the protein bars.
I'm not exactly doing loads of weights and getting pumped up so I can't say it's helped me in that respect but I have found it helps me after a run. I don't feel like eating straight after a run but from what I've read you're supposed to get your protein within half an hour for your muscles to make the best of the protein to recover, so having this to drink on return from a good 7.5 miles I feel as though I'm doing something postive for my body for getting me through it.
The only other shake I've tried is a very well known weight loss shake and I've found that when i drink that it stings the roof of my mouth, I don't have that issue with the MaxiNutrition shake.
First of all ask yourself what is protein powder?
Whey is a base for the protein powder which contains 9 of the essential amino acids that facilitate the healing of damaged muscles. Hence this is why people will have a protein shake after a workout, allowing you to maintain and have growth of muscles. This is basically the same as having a high in protein meal after working out.
So now more about Maxi muscle Promax Lean definition protein powder. This “Protein shake that supports a lean, defined body. Promax lean is packed with high quality protein for muscle definition, Vitamin B5 to assist energy metabolism, caffeine for extra focus and also contains CLA”
The reason I chose this particular powder was because my end goal is to have more of a defined and lean figure. Also using whey protein is a nice treat that can fit my macros. Maxi muscle are able to create a great formula which not just gives a great source of protein with low sugar content but taste very nice with little after taste if blended with milk/almond milk.

Overall I have to say it is great company that I have stuck by since starting my fitness journey, helping me reach my protein levels and satisfying my cravings. Coming in a vary of flavours from Chocolate, Vanilla, Banana and strawberry. My favourites would have to Strawberry, Banana and chocolate in that particular order.
