2.0 out of 5 stars Get the digital version at all costs 28 April 2014

While I applaud any author who actually publishes a volume and I do believe Monsieur Bayle is an expert in various disciplines, this book is far too cursory to warrant $35. The English is spotty at best and the printed illustrations are all in black and white, even when the legends refer to colored paths within diagrams. Unfortunately, I'm returning my copy in the morning and may or may not purchase the digital download. Suggested retail should be no more than $22.95 for a macro technical manual of its' brevity, in today's marketplace.

2.0 out of 5 stars Dukkha! Dukkha! Dukkha! 22 Jan. 2014

I purchase the _Max for Live Ultimate Zen Guide_ with the hope of adding an audio programming and sound design environment to my regular sitting practice. Unfortunately, it proved to be a great distraction from following the breath. Perhaps those working koans might have better success with this book. I defaulted back to adapting examples from Jack Kornfield's excellent guide, _Reaktor and The Dharma_, using Cycling '74's built-in documentation inside of Max to find corresponding objects.
