About the Author

H. A. Robinson is a jet-setting billionaire with a home on each continent, who spends her free time saving kittens from trees and babies from burning buildings. A graduate of Hogwarts and a frequent visitor to Narnia, she drinks coffee in Central Perk and tames dragons on Westeros. In her dreams… In reality, she’s a support worker living in a small town in Cheshire, who would almost always choose fantasy over reality. She’s been an obsessive reader from the moment she picked up her first Enid Blyton book, more years ago than she cares to admit, and enjoys nothing more than getting lost in new worlds and adventures from the minds of all the amazing authors out there. She’s had the voices of characters in her head for as long as she can remember, and puts them down on paper in order to convince herself and the men in white coats that she isn’t crazy.

I've followed the Wonderland Role Play group from the very beginning on twitter and Max is my favorite character in the family. I've highly enjoyed every other book in this series, but each one felt like a countdown to getting to know Max better,

Ms Robinson delivered everything I was hoping to get from this book and so much more. The book boyfriend phenomena is a constant in todays reading culture, but for me Max is like a best friend I've known all my life; he's written in a way which not only makes him seem real, but earns him a place in your heart.

Twists, turns and delicate subjects are all included in this story and I won't lie, I was gutted when the words To Be Continued appeared on my screen.

The subject of BDSM is explored in a way where it's not about the action being taken, but the control, the mental connection and the release given to those involved.

Do I recommend this book? If I could have given it more then 5 stars I would have done. Lose yourself in one of the most amazing characters I've gotten to know and the one above all I wish I could bring into reality so I could share a beer and give a panda a cuddle with him.

where do I even begin?

I've been waiting for this release ever since I finished reading Ethan Walker's Road to Wonderland. The third book in the Road to Wonderland series. H.A. Robinson did not disappoint me with this beautifully created piece of writing and I was left wanting more. Her style is unique and refreshing. Sassy and hilarious. Watching Max grow from a tortured infant to a hot, well respected and charming adult was beautiful to see. He grew into his skin, stood up for what he believed in and shocked the shell out of me along the way. I often sat back and thought, "Well, I wasn't expecting that" And I wasn't! HA has the ability to keep you guessing, page after page.

As a fan of this series, I knew it would be a great read, but I honestly wasn't expecting this! It was just... WOW!!

A huge congratulations to HA on an outstanding first novel. I'm waiting impatiently for the next installment.

Max Colton's Road to Wonderland couldn't have been released fast enough for me. I have followed the RTW series avidly and with great excitement, and each book so far has gripped me and kept me turning the pages.

This book was no exception.

Max Colton's character has been carefully constructed by H A Robinson in such a way that it is impossible not to believe in him. He is so real and so human that when you read this book, you will laugh, cry and grumble along with him. He is the boy next door, the handsome stranger, the friend from school, the hot guy in the office, the lifelong friend... he is everything that you would want in a protagonist and more.

The book gives us front row seats to his unfolding. We watch him grow into the confident, loving young man that we part ways with at the end of the story, despite the heartbreaking hardships he has to face and will continue to face into his future. The frightened, hurt little boy we meet at the start of the book never really leaves, but your heart will burst with pride as you watch Max fight with everything he has to overcome the fears that he constantly carries around in a rucksack on his back. He learns some difficult truths about himself, but he also learns to embrace them and come to terms with who he is as a person.

H.A. has this natural, easy style of writing. It is seamless and gentle and it flows smoothly from beginning to end. Her observations of real life and how people interact are woven into the story ensuring that all her characters have believable personalities of their own. She sees people. She delves into their hearts and scribbles notes so that she can portray them sensitively and truthfully.

--- "There are monsters in any walk of life, Max. Just because I meet a [d*ckhead} in Pizza Hut, it doesn’t mean I’m gonna give up on pizza for life. [Eff] that. I love that cheesy [shiz]." ---

Oh the Road to Wonderland Series... Always highly anticipated, always delivers, always makes me want more. "Max Colton's Road to Wonderland" is no different. It's a coming of age journey that is packed with emotion, sensuality, and humor, a touching story that excellently explores friendship, love, self-discovery, and triumph over adversity. The writing is clever and witty, every aspect of the story so incredibly defined that you don't just envision the scenes before you, you're simply in them with no knowledge of making the trip or decision to immerse yourself in it. Max was introduced in the first book of the series, and up to now we've learned little about him except that he is a good, fun guy. In this book we finally see the makings of this good guy, and I can guarantee you that you will finish reading without your opinion of him having changed, except to be raised to greater esteem, because Max Colton will capture your heart with a grip so tight that you're likely to remember him for a long time.

Max is eleven years old when the story begins. He's grown up in a house where nearly everything that he does spurs negativity, punishment and scorn and reaffirms the notion that he's been saddled with his entire life--that he is not good enough. Max's father is a man who, under the guise of character-building expectations and discipline, seems to delight in breaking his son's spirit.
